Steps to Install a Subwoofer in a Car
Life is not complete without music; it does not matter if you are relaxing on your couch, or doing some work with some background music, whether driving or stuck in the traffic mess, music is important in life. If you want to have the out of this world experience, you should consider having advanced subwoofers apart from just having just music in your car. Install these subwoofers after you have looked at these subwoofers available and selected one according to your needs and budget. Of course you can hire someone to do the job for you or you can do it on your own following these six simple steps given here below.
You need some take, the amplifier, the amplifier kit, a subwoofer box, and these subwoofers. Start by ensuring that these subwoofers box is designed specifically for the speakers and the that amp you have selected is compatible with the speakers. Now get the power line ready, by getting beneath the dash and finding an opening through the firewall where the power wire can pass. In almost all kits, the thickness of the power wire should be 8 to 0 mms. At this point, a fuse should be found close to the connect and one that will eventually go to the battery, place one near the battery but do not connect it yet.
Remove the player head unit and pull out the dash and using the adhesive tape, tape the remote wire onto the RCA cable and attach it up underneath the dash on the passenger side right to the position of the player. Now you can decide to connect the remote wire and the straight wire or the wiring harness to the wire corresponding from the player and now connect the RCA cables. Now we can run back to where the amp mounting was done. You need to run the wires into where the amp will be placed. It is suggested that for safety the wires should be run on the passenger side down.
Now lift the carpet near the amp and obtain a good metal space on the body of the car to the lay the wire. If the ground is not good there will be issues with the amp so the ground must be and if this is not easily achieved you can consider sanding some paint to get a firm ground. Lastly, these subwoofers can be placed in the car, connect the amp to the speaker wire. In the battery cable, secure the fuse with an item in the engine compartment such as twisting it to the hoses, or hook up the cable of the battery to the plus side of the battery. Prior to reassembling, test these subwoofers and ensure everything is properly connected and if all is in order reassemble the dash and enjoy the fine tunes in your car.
